In before 4.10 gears and a tuner.

Ignore CAI kits. Stock plumbing is good. Sometimes people open up the air box where it goes into the fender for more air flow.

Get a better flowing air filter like K&N or Spectre which is 1/2 the price of K&N.

Shampue thank you I will be looking for the 4.10 Gears and Tuner as well as the K&N Filter to start of with those things.

Any special brands that I should look for will also be appreciated.

Things to stay away from as well thank you again everyone.

I'm going to suggest Bama tuners via American Muscle because they give you custom tunes for the life of the car. 3years from now, if you add say, a supercharger they will give you a free update to your tune.

I am not sure how diablo is with tune pricing. I emailed them 4 weeks ago asking this same question and have yet to get a reply. Maybe someone using a Diablo can answer that.

Hey bud,

Not an expert on the GT by any means, but I imagine that lower gears would help off the line if you're interested in quicker 0-60 times. That's something many ppl look into doing first.

I know on my LS1 auto, transmission tuning and higher stalls are common add-ons for better acceleration, would assume the same holds true these as well.

I do know that CAIs apparently don't do much for these GTs until you get into some major engine mods, so probably don't need to worry about that.

Not much to go on, but that's about all I got... Good luck, and have fun with it!

Schmalgar

Thanks SO much ...

What are your thoughts on a Turbo Kit or Supercharger Kit ???

Is it worth it? Something to think about?

I will be buying the Gears, Air Filter and Tuner for sure.

A supercharger is a very simple way to increase HP, but it doesn't come cheap. I personally don't have the budget for it. I golf too much lol

Here, this will give you an idea on super charger costs.

As for Turbos... the only experience I have with a turbo is on a 1980 Pontiac Trans-Am Pace Car edition. Had a 301 with a turbo. We called it a Turd-o cause it was slower than my 1988 Dodge Daytona 4cyl

What are your overall goals for the car? Quick daily driver, drag, twisties? These things will help with giving you better ideas based on your goals.
