Default Trying to isolate a problem (Clutch issues)

Hi Everyone,
I recently inherrited my late Uncle's 2002 Mustang GT. Recently ive been having a few concerns about the clutch (at least i hope its the clutch) and I am hoping there are a few of you who have some insight on what may be my issue. Ever since I picked the car up about a month ago Ive thought the clutch pedal felt weird, at first I thought it was just me getting used to the stock clutch since I have a Stage 2+ Clutch on my Cobra. It will give resistance for most of the travel but then right near the end the pedal feels almost like it gives out and goes straight to the floor. Also, while driving, both when going through the gears and when rolling out from a stop, when i get to the friction point it doesnt seem to engage smoothly like my Cobra, instead when i get to the friction point it engages really rough and almost slams when it makes contact. Ive also been hearing some noises that have been concerning me. When slipping the clutch when im starting from a stop, there is a grinding noise while slipping the clutch, it doesnt do this every time i start rolling but ive been noticing it more and more lately. Also if am at a stop with the clutch pressed in I dont hear anything out of the ordinary but if i release the clutch (in neutral obviouslly) i can hear a smiliar sound to the previous. Its not as intense of a grinding sound but you can definitely hear the difference when the clutch is engaged and disengaged. I hope a few people will have some insight or ideas on what could be my problem here. Thank you so much everyone!

Either a failing clutch or it needs to be adjusted. Lift up on the clutch pedal and let it reset.

As far as I know, because this was my uncles car and I just got it a month ago, it is the stock clutch and the car has 87,000 miles on it. So it wouldnt surprise me in slightest if it does need a new clutch. Im going to try the adjustment when I get home tonight.
