Default 2000 GT Vert new engine

So I've been doing quite a bit of researching and I have yet to find an ideal place to get my new engine. Anyone have any good suggestions? I am working on a limited budget, but depending on whether it is a long block or a complete motor will change the amount of funds I have available.

What kind of budget are you talking? Some people say that and mean $1000 and others mean $8000

I'm looking somewhere in the neighborhood of $4000 to $5000 for the complete install. There is a bit of room to go higher, but it really depends on what other things need to be done to the car. I already have brakes/rotors/calipers, a new top and interior and top motor, new 18" staggered wheels. As far as the engine parts I know i will be replacing(not reusing from the existing engine) will be a new throttle body, new CAI, new high output alternator, the obvious new hoses/wires etc... My installer has quoted me between 800-1300 to do the install(depending on what all he has to remove from the existing engine), so 3-4k for the engine.

That quote sounds about right. My engine swap was $900. I'm not sure what all you can get in your budget but it seems like you should be able to get a decently built engine for 4k
