will 2006 4.10 gears fit 98 gt?
been looking to invest in some 4.10 gears for my 98 mustang gt auto. i found some that someone was selling 410 out of 06 mustang. will they fit myne? and will there be a good improve in power from 0 to 60?

Youre going to also need a tune if you go this route in order to adjust the cars computer and tune the shift points, i recommend a bama tune.
Also, im not sure if the 06 gears would fit (i dont see how they could), but i would go the safe route and buy a new gear kit. http://www.americanmuscle.com/fopege4ra.html
Doing this you make sure youre putting quality parts in your car and wont harm anything. Only $159 (without tune). Hope this helps!

Stock gear ratio in the rear for the 96-98 is 2.73. (3.27 was optional that year). if you go with 4.10's expect a decent increase in pull from the line but also expect a decrease in MPG but that shouldnt matter because after all, its a mustang...

Those gears will fit. Just make absolutely sure that there are no cracks, etc... in them. I also believe that used gears from a gear swap aren't the best idea...I'd recommend you buy new...unless they are selling for dirt cheap
