Fuel Pressure Weirdness

Fuel Pressure Weirdness
I bought a 2002 GT with a kenne bell in it around a couple months ago. It runs great and has not given me any problems. the only thing is that recently the fuel pressure gauge (kenne bell gauge that came with kit im guessing) has been fluctuating pretty badly. ill start the car and it will read normal 30-35 then start fluctuating from 20-0 the odd thing is that when i accelerate there is no hesitation from the car and the fuel pressure kicks up to 40 where it should be. until just a minute ago when i was in 3rd and stepped on it coming down the street to look at the FP. it went up to around 50ish.
any help would be appreciated. im not the biggest car techie in the world and just wanna know if you all think this is electrical since the car still pulls like crazy or if it could be something deeper. thanks a lot

Also, use a known good gauge to verify that the one installed in the car is working properly. If the fuel pressure were actually fluctuating between 20 to 0 psi the engine would idle/run like crap...

i will definitely check for the leak you mentioned and the other things as well. its just tough with my work schedule to do such things. Freaking Marines works me to death :P thanks for the help ill let you all know what happens it just freaks me out a bit when the Fuel Pressure goes so high. what is the safest max that it should go?
