4.6 pressureized oil lead from head gasket?
99 Town car.. don't laugh, I'm looking for a Florida condo car... absolutely show room. My mechanic who is a 9.5 outta 10 has dyed the oil and finds the source of what are just drops on the floor at this point to be coming from the head gasket at the rear of the block. He its from the oil passage feeding the valve train. Owner has put Bars in the oil and sealed it up for the last 200 miles. On a Lincoln the heads are recessed into the firewall close to the A/C, can't see anything from the top; he says replacing the gasket is something he's not anxious to get into estimating both sides at $1500-2000k.
No coolant leak or oil contamination. If this is pressureized oil I don't see a stop leak providing a solution.
Is this a common problem with the 4.6? Car has had 3k oil changes, coolant flush, highly maintained.
