Default CV joint noise?

My car has recently started sometimes making a grinding noise when turning slowly left or right, or coming to a stop downhill. This started happening awhile after I had the car lowered on HR SS springs and Eibach prokit shocks/struts (also with a MaximumMotorsport set of caster/camber plates). I also noticed that on slightly bumpy roads, the car makes squeaking noises a lot (which I'm assuming would be the shocks?)

Does this grinding issue seem like the cv joints? Wondering if anyone else can relate so I know I'm looking in the right direction.

I'd say it's either a ball joint or a bearing starting to go out.

My front left wheel bearing does make a lot of noise on the highway, but the wheel bearing doesn't make this sort of grinding noise at slow turns as I described do they? Under the car the joint 'looks' fine, dust boot has no tears

I'm interested in this front wheel drive Mustang of yours!

In all seriousness I have nothing to add to this thread other than you don't have CV joints...

Wheel bearings can make a grinding/scraping noise while making parking lot manuevers. Bad ball joints usually make a loud pop while making parking lot manuevers.

I'd say it's your bearing, they grind like mad as they go out. I just did the front pair on my '98. Took about 15 mins each side. I actually replaced the entire hub, it's only acouple bucks more, you get 5 new studs to work with instead of the old naste studs that tend to have messed up threads anyway - and you don't need to worry about pressing the bearings in (or knocking them out). Just make sure you have a 36mm socket and big tq wrench. The main nut goes on with 200ft/lbs and it feels like about twice that to take it off. LOL

If you jack the wheel off the ground and try to shake it up and down is there any play? Btw CV-joints are half shaft axle parts, this car is rear wheel drive and has a solid axle out back

Sorry I don't mean cv joints, I mean ball joints! Clarify on that. And thanks all to the input
