There are no connections under the central junction box on my '03, nor does it have that pigtail and plug--both of which lead me to believe it is the coolant level sensor connector, as Ford eliminated that in the 2002 (maybe 2001?) model year...

Thank u for your guidance. It's exactly what we've discussed the low coolant sensor. Dude was too cheap to replace it because it stays on! I've only had this mustang for three weeks, so I'm still feeling the car out. Can't believe both me and my mechanic I took along missed that plug! Thank you all for your guidance and your patience.

They tend to be more trouble than they are worth, that's why Ford did away with them on the later models...
