I went to Advance auto parts and bought me these:

Grabbed the big one, and managed to reconnect it to both ends. Started the car up and took it for a drive. The hissing sound is gone and the car is back to behaving normally. Woohoo!

Now I just have to reset the engine light. I'm going to wait till the morning tomorrow and disconnect the battery for a few minutes then plug it back on as I don't have a tuner or computer, unless someone has another way I can do it. (my FLAPS said they can't reset it for liability reasons.)

Computer reset as per Owner's Manual. Check engine light stayed off. So I'm going to go ahead and call this issue repaired. Thanks for the help guys, especially cliffyk. Now on to more exciting car work hopefully.

So the hose fell off again last weekend while I was showing the car to my sister. The hose seems to fall when I put the car under heavy acceleration. That leads me to think its an issue with the exhaust creating pressure and making the hose falling off.

One of the things I looked at with a friend this weekend, is that the car doesn't have any mufflers. It seems to have 2" pipes and still has its cats. It sounds great inside the cabin, and it doesn't sound bad outside either. The sound get a little off when you hear it under acceleration on the outside.

My gut feeling at the moment is to get 2.5" pipes, drop the cats, and put in a set of mufflers (likely flowmasters because I like the loud obnoxious sound). I think this would maybe fix the issue with the EGR, plus leave my car with a better all around exhaust system. I don't understand why someone would remove the mufflers and leave the cats.

Anyway, the question is if you guys have any opinions or suggestions on what I should do or why you think my EGR hose keeps popping off. Thanks!

Put a wire-tie on it--a high quality one...

I thought about that, but it would still pop off and make that horrendous noise. I just wouldn't lose the $10 hose. What do you think on the exhaust cliffy?

Leave the cats alone. She needs'em to purr. Add an x pipe and ya mufflers. You'll like it! What about headers?? First!

Yep. The hose has never fallen off again. I guess maybe I just didn't put it on well enough the first time.
