You absolutly love your car AND it's paid for................keep it and add some of the touches you mentioned and you'll love it even more. A unique and well put together GT is a sight to see and many of us know from experience the satisfaction you can get from watching your car continue it's progression from a mild bolt-on car to a nice hot rod with personal touches. Not to mention, adding a mod here and there as your budget allows I think is easier on your wallet with no payments and cheaper insurance. Good luck, I know it's a tough decision.

Being that it's a vert then i say keep it as no way in hell would i settle for hardtop after owning one myself unless it was a Cobra vert.. 1st mod would be rear gears as that would wake her right up!

All great points. The reason i am having such a hard time deciding is because I have the 'mod bug'. I mean, I changed the plugs last week and was all proud of myself. Haha. It doesm't seem like anyone has any issues with a fi 100k motor.

Who knows what issues can turn up with getting a used car without truely knowing it's history.

Since im all for building cars and not buying them, I say swap in an 03/04 cobra drivetrain in your car (minus IRS). Cause thats how I would roll anyway.

Now that's a hell of an idea, uberstang! I hadn't even considered that, but with the age of those cars there has to be some salvage titles out there with low miles and good motor/trans. If the price is right I would definitely go that route.
