Question 2004 Mach 1 wrecked. How about some parts

So I drove past the graveyard the other day, and saw a nasty rolled yellow on black mach 1. As i passed it thinking about how i hope mine never ends up in this condition, applied the brakes

Laser red exterior, tan/black two tone interior. That mach 1 has all black leather interior. seats, carpet, console door panels, kick panels shifter bezel etc etc.

How about a black on black interior swap. I can everything they said, total of $588. anything i want need.

only real question, how rough is it to swap the dashboard. swap it, or dye it?

Nothing really hard about it, just labor intensive. If you plan to retain AC, and want to do so legally you need to take the car to an AC and have them dispose of the R-134A in the system properly. Then you can either have them refill it or do it your self, although this is not recommended without the right tools. This is part of removing the dash, also while you are in there if you do not know the condition of the heater core for sure I would replace it...factory ones like to leak.

On a side note, dimension-wise, the dash would work but you could not use the mach 1 cluster. You would need an adapter for whatever radio you have, or you would need a double din style.

Personally if the seats are in awesome shape, I don't think that is a bad price at all...you just have to decide if you are willing to part with the cash for such a useless purpose. (face it, in reality it will give you no advantage, just a hotter than normal interior)

Thanks for the info, the A/C has already been removed. The seats are in really nice condition. The truth being no advantage, like weight reduction. yes i agree. However i think i would much rather have the black interior, and im really set on leather. My two front seats are pretty rough as they are from the factory and have seen alot of exposure. They are no cracked and foam coming through it. I was looking at nearly $600ish two reupholster the front the same color, here I have the entire interior updated to the 04, and in much better condition.

Also as a side note, the inside of my car is blistering hot. Im assuming from the long tube headers, it get so hot in there you can't even touch the ashtray. So i'm thinking i need to rip out the interior and put some type of fireproof, heat guarding material down anything. Dynamat?

So in summary, i'm ripping out the interior, i'm already looking at redoing the stock stuff, i prefer black interior. just seemed to work. I could go do the racing style seats to save weight, etc etc. I'm just not a huge fan of the styles. i really like the stock style seat.

How about the steering wheel and steering column? Mine is tan, thats probably going to have to go as well.

That's a good deal man. I'd definitly go for it seeing how it was something you were already thinking about doing anyhow. I miss my Mach seats. The folding headrests alone were nicer, lol.

heck yeah man, they are in real good shape. They have those hot spot rinkles, but if I keep them conditioned, hopefully they will last me a long time.

Get the mach steering wheel and airbag. You should be able to get the plastic collar for around the column from the mach and use them on your car.
