Default Would this be wise to do?

I have a 1996 Mustang GT and want to put in 4.10 gears, PI Cams and PI intake.
Would that be fine and should I tune it afterwards?
These would be my first mods on it.

You would have to get a tuner. better off getting a tuner/gear combo kit to save you money. Any time you change your gears you will need a tune to calibrate the speedo. Cams and most intakes require a tune anyways

Sounds balanced enough, and would all work well together. But as xxgt10 says, the Tune is where the heart of it is. A nice handheld tuner has many options like he said. Gearing, Tire and Wheel size selections, Timing adjustments, many options.

You can not re-calibrate the speedo on a 96 with a handheld.
And OP check If you order your tuner from a Co. (like BAMA)that can load a tune on for you that will be enough for the mods you have done

Yes, pre 99 Mustangs have a mechanical speedo.

OP, like others said, get a tuner.

That's a great combo of mods.. It'll make it a different feeling car with a tune and I think you'll love it.
