Default 98 PI Intake Questions

I bought this car a few weeks ago, so pardon my retarded-ness.

So, I looked and read the guides on this. The 98 computer wants two coolant sensors that should be on the intake.......

Well, I have an engine in my car that came from a 02 Crown Vic interceptor. Reading through some of the posts, it says with the PI intake, you will either A, need to drill a port for the second sensor, or you will always have a coolant light on.

So a few questions here, since it's a Interceptor engine and the intake was probably already on it, it obviously didn't need any RTV to seal off the areas on the block, correct?

Also again, since it was stock on that engine, whats the deal with the second sensor? I snapped a few pics, and I noticed when I looked that of corse there isn't a second sensor near the t-stat location. Instead it looks like someone did some funky wiring and there is a wire the goes up and under the intake. Could they have put a sensor under the thing? Could their have been one on that intake that way?

Yes, those contacts in the bluck jackets end up going to the wire that goes under the intake. I would assume they lobbed off the connector for the original sensor and then put that on there from possibly the interceptor engine? Dunno....hence why I am asking.....

No RTV needed for the intake if it's an 02 Crown Vic motor (that's a PI motor).

For the second sensor, some people relocate it somewhere on the side of the block (atleast that's the way I understand it).

There is no other place to mount the second sensor on the intake other than drilling and tapping the flat next to the thermostat housing.

It's an 02 and that's surely PI. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Cr...ce_Interceptor shows they started in 92...
