Mark viii or 5.4
ive been thinking bout a engine swap/ build
mark viii are cheap but most have high miles i was thinking rebuild with forged rods new pistons and slapping a supercharger on it for everything thinking 2 grand or less
or
getting a low mile 5.4 and swapping it in with a hps intake and nitrous for about 2 grand or less

Why make a second thread for this same question. Stick with the mark 8 as has been said since the last thread.

I am in the same dilemma. PI swap 4.6, PI 5.4, or Mark VIII swap. The Mark VIII swap isn't too bad, check my sig for the guide.

a 4v swap isnt much more than a factory 2v replacement. Its a direct drop in

Thanks I looked through it, awesome info. Would still need to forge bottom end though, if trying for over 400HP.

I'm hoping to do a Navigator swap at some point. Have to fix the rest of the car first though.
