Default Superchip Tuner Questions

So my sister's friend has a superchip for sale for $200 is it a good deal? How much HP and Torque could i make with a CAI on the dyno with the tune. also i may be getting an o/r h or x pipe soon. how much HP and TQ could i make with all this.

230 to 235 peak HP at the wheels, maybe 240. Peak torque around 275 lb-ft.

The CAI will add nothing except weight savings by making your wallet lighter--the stock intake is a CAI, and a pretty good one to boot; as good as any, better than many...

I don't think that's a good deal. I've seen them on CL for $100, I think $50-100 is more appropriate.

I had meant to comment on that; I agree, $200 is way too high particularly in that they are not a major player in New-Edge Mustang tuning...

I don't think I ever heard anyone say anything good about superchips as far as mustangs are concerned.

I was thinking the same thing, hence my intention to start with a tune only. By the way, I like the red, white and blue stripe on the fender, Cliffy. Looks good against the black.

chances are this is vin locked and may be a hassle to even use it. I noticed a little more pep when I got one many many years ago. Dont waste your time. Get a more dyno friendly hand held like sct. or you'll be buying twice most likely.

I been wonderin, bout them chips. I know they help alotta high performance Chevy rides. Couldn't help but wonder, about out gt.
