Default AUX input harness for Mach 460 hu

Trying to find a harness so I can hook up an iPod or phone to my factory mach 460 head unit. And I did search because it seems like this topic has been beaten to death but Crutchfield no longer carries the harness adapter that everyone recommends.
I came across a few here http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_f...ry-stereo.html but I'm not sure which will work because the the year ranges don't make sense.
Anyone have any ideas for a cheap solution? I don't care if it doesn't charge the device, just want to the ability to listen to an iPod or phone because my mach 460 disc changer is acting up, I keep getting the "CD Error" message, even after taking it out and removing the CD's.

Thanks guys.

After some more research I believe this is the one I need, I just don't want to spend $55 on it haha. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...-AUX.html#tabs

Don't spend the money, it will not work--because of this:

The 2001+ Mach 460 head with the 6-CD changer does not have any external CD changer capacity...

Thanks Cliffy. That's the one thing I was unsure about.

Are you sure?? My 2001 GT with the Mach 460 in-dash 6-CD changer works with the PIE adapter (see my sig) which requires the external CD changer...

Not trying to pick a fight, but I'm just curious.

Ford changed the Mach 460 head unit 2 or 3 times over the years. I thought that was in 2001 that they switched to the single chassis unit however after looking at the wiring diagrams it looks like it may have been in 2002.

This is the back panel of the earlier "stacked" unit:

Note that it is two "boxes" joined together. On this model the CD inputs were available at the rear panel connections.

This is the 2002+ model:

As you can see it is a single chassis, the CD inputs are not available at the connectors.

From the front they look the same...

Did you find a solution to this? I just posted a thread myself asking the same thing.

If you have the Mach 460, I have the harness. Replaced the stock deck and don't have a use for it. Send me a pm.
