It will not "say" 4R70W, the VC label will have code "U" under the TR column, they codes on the tranny will not mention 4R70W as they are production codes, not generic transmission type codes...

I found that code on the door jam but im looking on the transmission to make sure its the right one before i go throught the hassle of getting it rebuilt and put in can u help me with that i would greatly appreciate it.....i bought the car from somebody with the bad transmission and they bought this one to put in but dont know anything about it like what it came out of so i just want to make sure......thanks
