Default Motor mount problem

So I'm in the process of removing/replacing my my motor mounts. Drivers side came off without a hitch, the passenger side got the nut off the stud in front, but I can't get the two bolts to budge even with an impact and I don't want to round the damn things off. What else can I do without breaking them.

If I was in you're position I would get out the breaker bar and see what happens, not many options left. I would assume they are hardened bolts, so the socket should break before the bolt did. Unless you are using impact sockets. I have had to use a breaker bar with a pipe on the end to break loose nuts and bolts. Also use the correct socket for the bolt pattern, so it does not round it off. Good luck hope it works out for you.

Thanks Dragul, the problem is with these bolts are they aren't as tall as most bolts so you have to keep a hand behind the head otherwise sockets have a habit of just slipping off. Not as much to grab onto!
The impact was starting to cause damage to the bolt so I stopped and went back to hand tools . I had to go out and buy a six sided socket, my damn 1/2" sockets are all multi point. Ah well, wait until it warms up again this afternoon and hope I can get it. Passenger side is such a PITA with all the stuff on that side.

I have had that happen with bolts in the past. I bought some sockets at sears for removing bolts that the heads are damaged. As you are unscrewing the bolt, the socket bites in screwing itself onto the head of the bolt. Like a screw extractor. I have used these as last resort when I can no longer use a socket. Again good luck, sucks working in the cold.

I have the Irwin sockets, trying to save those as last resort like you mentioned.
