I just don't understand the 4.6L
Last weekend, I changed my spark plugs on my 2002 4.6L 2V. After I got it back together it run like poop. Last night, I took it all apart, the spark plug gap is the same as the old plugs. I checked all the connections. everything seems like it's back to the way it was.
Started it up and it's still running lie poop, it will barely idle. The Air/Fuel meter is pegged on Green. The boost gage is shoing 10 Vacuum where it usually reads 20 vacuum at idle.
I had the wife set in it and keep it running while I checked all of the electrical connections on the COPS and injectors. No change.
I started pulling off the COPS electrical connections. There was no change in the idle of the car.
Shouldn't Disconnecting the COPS electrical connector disable that cylinder?
Help.

If you removed a COP connector and the engine idle didn't change odds are the coil is bad. If you have an ohm meter, take the coil out and measure the resistance of that ignition coil by placing one lead on one of the pins and the other lead on the other pin. Then measure the other seven. If your readings are varied by a decent margin then you have have definitively proven it's a bad coil.

What plugs did you use? What gap?

Thank you everyone
I took a second look under the hood this morning. There was a 3/4" Vacuum hose losose that I had forgot to reconnect.
The car has a procharger, so the gap is set at .035.
The boots are good on the COPS.
After all of this, it is still running good. But I'm still having a stuttering isssue. It happens for 5-10 seconds while I'm going down the street. Then clears up for a few miles then it starts stuttering again. Any Idea?
