Default Coolant circulation

So it's ten degrees outside out of no where tn. The other day I flushed my coolant system and. I put 50/50 back in. After I drove it around I noticed that the reservoir on top of the rad where u fill it from was empty so I topped it off with just water. My question is after I topped it off and drove it around , does that water in that small resovoir circulate and mix with anti freeze? Or does it just circulate through put radiator

It will mix, you have to check several times after you drain it.

As Seabee1993 mentioned, it will circulate with the coolant. So now no longer have a 50/50 radio of coolant/water. Go to your local auto parts store and pick up a coolant tester. It will tell you if you have the proper mix. Suck out some coolant in the reservoir, add pure coolant, go for a drive, let the car cool down, pull the radiator cap and re-test the coolant. Repeat until you get back to a 50/50 mix.

Good luck...
