Default 1998 GT spring repalcement procedure

Hi I am getting ready to replace my struts and shocks on my 1998 GT. I would like to lower the car a bit (even if I have to put in caster plates) however I don't know how difficult it is to do. Do I have to compress the springs to get them out (i.e. are they under load?) for the front and back?

i put eibach pro kit on my 02 and they arent bad. we did not use a spring compressor just unbolt the sway bar and everything and pull down the control arm and pop it right out. On the rear just dropped down the rear axle and they popped right out. I am getting ready to do shocks and struts and everything else on mine before long this spring.

You don't need a spring compressor, but it would make removing stock size springs alot easier. When you install the front springs make sure the bottom pig tail covers the first drain hole leaving the second exposed, and for the rears make sure both pigtails on the bottom are in the back facing towards the driver side of the car.

Uber by easier you mean that the clearance is minimal and they hang up and I need to muscle them out if not compressed?
