no absolutley, you're right. i just was wondering being a newer tranny with the shift kit (supposed to improve life and plus im thinking it was made for a little fun) and the aftermarket axles if it would hold up even better. im not the guy that drives like that all the time anyway
The car will hold the gears from the factory.shift kits reduce slippage and c an add life to the trans because they have less slip and less heat from not sloping between shifts

what do you mean by holding the gear? are you sayinmg it can hit redline stock? i understand the rest of what you said

I'm pretty sure what he means is if you put the shifter in any position other than drive, it will "hold", or stay in that gear until you physically move the shifter selector to another gear position. And it will hit redline whether you are using the stock or aftermarket valve body/shift kit/shifter or whatever if you are manually shifting as opposed to putting it in Drive and letting it shift for you.Shift kits get your tranny back to the business of propelling your car quicker than stock by skipping the mamby pamby easing into the next gear; heat and wear producing factory design, they say "want a gear?" BAM! There ya go sport. " Not real smooth or gentle, just efficient and quick.
Thanks for the picture. And yea I still think she's a beaut!

^^ Correct. even from the factory if you put your automatic shifter to the 1 position and hit the gas, it will bounce off the revlimiter. same with 2, holding the gas down, it will again hit the rev limiter and not shift. hence you are "manually" shifting the car....
hmm did not know that, i know a lot of automatics even when not in drive will shift for you before redline, good to know and that was one of my original questions answered!
