my dad installed one of these on the car not too long ago and i like it. my question is if i put it in say 1st or 2nd and hold it to the floor will it hit the rev limiter or will it still shift on its own to the next gear avoiding the limiter? no im not looking to hit the rev limiter just curious

We all have 5-Speeds.

Why not just pick up the phone and call B&M? Go to the source and be sure to get the correct answer.

Do not know if you have the shift kit that you install on the value body or the electronic one. With shift kit you can control the shift. Or set it up to be fully manual. Meaning it will not shift until you move the shifter.

The kit that you install on the valve body. Can be set up for fully manual with firmer shift. Or to just shift firmer than stock .Most people just do the firmer than stock kit. I cannot tell how your is set up. Because you would have to have the original kit part #. i just guessing, but check with your Dad for better answers about the kit. The one , i have in my car is just set up for firmer than stock shift.Hope that help some .Shifting from 1st -2nd gear, my car will chirp the tires.

i'll have to look at the box i believe he has it. if you "shift it" yourself it shifts even firmer then if you just left it in drive. im just wondering if it will still shift on its own or if it will allow it to bump the limiter, which as i said i dont want to do. i do NOT want to see for myself so thats why im curious haha

You were right. This is much easier than calling the tech line at B&M.
