Ok..Bearings for caster/camber plates finally came in..I installed both sides last night..Removed old bearings, torqued the bearing retainer back down, and torque the strut nut really good with impact..It still sounds like the struts are coming through the hood when I hit a bump..I need to get this fixed asap..If ordering better caster/camber plates is the answer Im in..

Why do guys just flat refuse to go to the source with questions? For crying out loud, isn't a UPR representative posting on this thread?

Instead of talking to "a" guy, talk to "THE" guy!

I didn't realize you were running coilovers. They sometimes cause front end noise.

Which email address did you use? I need to find out where the ball was dropped here. At any rate, we have top notch tech guys available at 561.588.6630.

This is one of those awkward times where I'm glad that the problem was "fixed" but it's awkward because that should not have fixed the problem. The large stepped washer does go below the cc plate. Here are the instructions:

http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/yhst-...stallation.pdf

All I can say is please let me know or call 561.588.6630 if you have any trouble with it. UPR cc-plates are quality pieces and they carry a Lifetime Guarantee.

That stepped spacer def should be under the strut tower, otherwise the top of that coilover is just rubbing the undernearth of the strut tower and in time probably damage the sheet metal of the car or the coilover cap

Sorry to hijack, I'm having the same issue, however I'm using the Eibach Pro System, w/ UPR Four Bolts CC Plates.

Step 17. says: "Place the stepped spacer onto the top of the shaft strut. Stepped area must go into the bearing so make sure it seats properly."
Step 21. says: "Use the provided .375" and .25" spacer sleeves between the caster camber plate and the top strut nut so that approx. 1.4" of the threaded portion of the strut goes past the large nut."

I only get the noise on larger bumps and changes in driving surface. Since it's the weekend figured I would post here and then contact UPR tomorrow. I impacted the crap out of it, don't want to continue impacting it as I don't want to break it. I over thought it on install and was worried about no rubber being up in the CC plate like the stock receptacle. Thanks for your insight and help.
