My 96' has 219,000 miles with stock everything from bumper to bumper. Just drove it to Las Vegas from Sacramento and back last friday with no problems. Sure I have to put a quart of oil in between oil changes, anywhere between 3 and 4 thousand miles, but it still kicks ***!
I have a 2003 GT with over 209,000 miles (don't jinx). I've put a six speed on it, UPR k-member, coilovers in the front, welded in sub frame connectors, strut tower brace. I also just put on Eibach anti roll kit (Sway bars). So it's solid as a rock. Next will be to service the rear end and install 3.73's. I'm also eyeballing a Mark VIII engine, if not I can purchase a 1998 lincoln continental 4.6 intech engine, for the heads. I've heard that its the same block, forgeing wise so you can drill and tap it for it work in a RWD Mustang. Any thoughts on if this is true? This would really help, since it's only $400. Help me out fellas.
