Default Help me pick a tire size for 16x7.5 wheels...

Please help me pick a tire size for 16x7.5 wheels. Should I go with a tire that is a bit larger/wider in the back? I want to fill the wheel well a bit more for looks. THANKS!!!

right now I have much larger in the rear than the front. I have 245 in the front and honestly I dont like it. I think they are rubbing. Ive seen signs of rubbing but my wheels are so wide, 245 is as narrow as I can really go.

I am guessing you have stock sn95 wheels on a 96-98. 225 is enough IMHO for the front and anything over 255 looks sexy in the back. I did have 315 Drag radials and it was over kil.

A 7.5 inch wheel out back wont fill out the wheel well . I have a 10.5'' wide wheel out back with a 275/40R17 tire and it is still tucked in a bit. Now if you want to fill the gap between the top of the tire and the fender then you need to lower the car a bit.

That's a cool link.

I think you should stick with the recommended tire size.

He's asking about 16" tires, not 17".

I know , I can read. He asked this question in 2 different threads. And I gave him an answer in both. Was just telling him what I was using to answer his "GAP" question.
