Default T45 upgrade POLL

I'm just starting research on repairing/rebuilding my t-45. *I have a 2000 mustang gt with a vortech V1 at 9 psi. *360whp, 380tq.

I have 2 t-45s
1st one Shifts, not smooth, very hard to go into reverse, pops out. *(currently In car)
2nd one Hard to shift 2-3-4... Pops out of 3-4. * Got stuck in 4th.

I wanting info on parts for a rebuild, with some goodies to make my T45 shift smooth, and handle additional power later down the road. *I have plans to intercool, change pulley, and add power pipe... Goal 450whp...

I have a trans builder?? But he's not a speciality t45 builder??I'm going with a 26 spline input shaft

So I have decided to ship mine off for repair/rebuild. Now where to ship??

From what I can tell the Kessler is just a remanufactered T45 with their bearing plate, and bolt on bell housing. I do like the $300/credit for my t45s..shipping 2 gearboxes is going to suck..

Haven't really looked at beefing up a 3650. The 26 spline input is approx $400, rebuild kit upgrade internals $1000-????? I'm looking at approx $2000 done..

TKO 500/600 cost $2400 +, and their very notchy..not smooth by any means. Plus you get to buy new clutch, driveshaft, bellhousing.

I think if I upgrade the forks, and shaft, I should be fine..

Well, if that's what you have your heart set on for that amount of money. So be it, the Source quote I got for mine was no where near 2k, unless you're including shipping as well.
I would change the clutch anyway if I went to all the trouble of pulling the trans out. That way I would have the piece of mind that everything was new when I stabbed the trans back in.
