Well I daily drive a Silverado and just bought a new Harley so I didn't think I was really going to use the car very much. I'm going to just park the truck in the summer months and use it in the winter.
Congrats! My "new" 2004 GT (purchased 4 months ago) has roughly 135,000 miles on the odometer, and with each new mod it just keeps running better and better. Definitely a fun project car!
not to steal the thread but for you and 04blue281 how much did you pay for your cars if you dont mind me asking. i think i overpayed for mine with 104k its over and done with already but im just curious.

Well... I'm pretty sure that I paid too much for mine --- $7939 "out the door" (or, "off the lot" --- whichever you prefer). Sales tax and licensing fees are separate/additional in my state (so there's some more money on the cost of buying the car). Prices vary in different areas/regions of the country --- and also from car dealers vs. private sellers.
My plans have always been to keep the car if it turned out to be a good/solid performer and just sell it off if it didn't meet my expectations. I expect to find a few problems with a used car that is almost a decade old --- and I HAVE found a few with my "new" car. I'm Ok with what I've found so far (stuff that has been easily fixed).
Bottom line.... the initial purchase cost of this used car isn't going to "weigh heavy on my mind" if I wind up keeping it a few years and having a lot of fun driving it. And, if it turns out to be a complete turd --- well, crap happens!! :0

.... and it's now time to get busy and install my new ACCUFAB 70mm throttle body/plenum combo and SR one-half inch spacer (along with the new tunes from AMERICAN MUSCLE). Need to get that done in the next few days!

I bought mine for $5,800 with 138,000 miles on it. There weren't any better deals around here unless I spent more. Higher mileage engines have never bothered me if the car was taken care of so I'm happy.
