Default Breaking in Clutch?

What's the proper way to break in a clutch? It's a Ford Racing from American Muscle. I've read that 500 of easy driving should be fine but I'm not too sure. So far it's been 100 miles since the clutch install and I been keeping the RPM below 3K but I'm wondering when I can start shifting past 3K? I'm not gonna shift hard or drop the clutch but I at least don't wanna the guy at the red light that accelerates slower than a minivan.

Most break in periods are described as running it at normal driving for x amount of miles, as in to clutch drops, hard shifts etc etc. Mileage usually varies by clutch manufacturer.

Centerforce says 400 stop and go miles. Engage & disengage without putting heat in it.

^ This is correct. I would recommend putting 500 "mixed" miles on the car before laying into the throttle. Stop & Go, Highway etc.. This will break in the clutch nicely and you'll be good to go! The break in period of a clutch is the most important part of its life. If this process is completed incorrectly, you can get heat spots on the pressure plate and clutch disk before it's even broken in.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll gladly walk you through the process again!
