From what I have read, side pipes reduce hp. But I could be wrong.

i wonder why they would? i mean im gonna run it right after the mufflers, so why would more/less length of the pipes increase/decrease hp? it has plenty back pressure through the cats and mufflers, atleast id assume.

whats wrong with considering side pipes? i like how they look on cars. im tring to figure out if itd change the pitch of noise and if it would work at all. i havent seen many mustangs like the body style i have with side pipes i like being on the unique side, if it can work why not try it?

I've heard the same exact thing from numerous people. Would love to know if it's true or not. The first time I heard it was from a service tech at a Ford dealer when a Boss Shinoda pulled up for an appointment and the tech wouldn't stop talking about how the side pipes were stupid because you lose power that way.

^^^brain fart on my case. If the tips are just behind the B-pillar, so the exhaust exits perpendicular just behind the driver/passenger door, would that be side pipes/side exhaust right?

thanks for the links but i was going to get it a custom bent setup cause a shop near me gives me badass deals so ive always gone to them. i went up and talked to him today and he told me that it wouldnt really work right because i would barely have enough clearance for speedbumps and that to bend the pipe to go out the side correctly i would lose power cause i would need u bent pipes so ill take his word for it, no more side pipes for me!

thanks anyway everyone.
