You are absolutely right. They look like shoddy workmanship, especially for $230. It must have cost them $15 to make. I don't like the idea of some sort of hack job to secure seats to a vehicle which makes me want to abandon the idea of securing the Recaros to the car.

I agree very crappy workman ship.a one piece design would be idea. and price is very overpriced for the quality. but they are the only company i have found to at least offer something to fit new S197 seats into the new edge. if you find someone else post pics, info.

Honestly, it wouldnt be that hard to have your own made at a good machine shop. Study the picture of their adapter and use it as a template guideline on a piece of cardboard. Measure to the center of the bolt holes of your floorpan on your car in an "H" pattern on that cardboard, scribble it out on the cardboard template, then measure to the center of the desired seat pattern in a "H" pattern. Make a cardboard replica using a piece of foam or something to simulate the bend and rise that they use in the picture on that adapter. Take it to a machine shop and explain to them what it is for. You could have them make 2 out of a piece of billet for 500$ I bet, or at least have them weld a billet slug inbetween the pieces for the bend/rise portion of the bracket. Then take a picture of the finished brackets and market them on Ebay for .01 cheaper than the crappy knockoffs.
