Tires scraping the fender lining when I turn
Just bought some siiick bullitt tires and slapped them on, but every time I turn hard the tires are hitting the fender linings. Obviously taking off the fender lining is an option but is there any other way around that?
2001 Mustang Convertible.
The wheel specks are 235/50/18.
The black mark near the bottom is where the tire is scraping
It looks goood
Any and all help is deeply appreciated!

I would try adding a spacer and see if that works. But, as nice as those look, the rims are the wrong offset and those tires are 6% taller than stock. A 235/40 18 tire would probably work better as it would be about 1% shorter than stock.

You bought S197 (new body style) wheels instead of SN95.
As posted, wrong offset and wrong size tire. The tire is rubbing because it's too big for the wheel well. Spacers won't help that part. The rear wheels are tucked in so far because they are the wrong offset.

I run 275/35/18's up front as well, Whitedarkness. Fully turned, your wheels rub on the inside of your sway bar. I was told a 265 tire would've fit better; unfortunately I only found this out after the fact, and the tire packages on AM didn't allow any modification. The best solution I've found was buying Steering Rack Limiters, which does just that: limits the range of your steering rack, effectively decreasing the amount you can turn (no more full-lockouts, no more rubbing).

If it's rubbing on the swap bar on the inside, a spacer will help. The down side it when you move them out, it will rub the fender well. When it hits the fender well, it's because the tire is too big. It's a lose/lose situation.
Always buy the correct offset rims, and the correct size tires for your application.
