Default 94-98 GT only have 215 HP??

I thought it was like 260, but turns out those are the new edge GTs....then how are they so fast on youtube?? i mean dang looks like even the stock v6 sn197 are faster then sn95 GT!!!??

Do people with fast sn95 gt do every bolt on and stuff to make em faster? or is it that the cars are fast even with only 215 hp? is it because they have a lot of torque and that makes them go zoom zoom?

Yes, they only have 215hp. The 98 claims 225hp, but I don't see the difference. The faster ones are generally modified, most of the time, people put gears and PI heads on them. NPI gt's are low 15, high 14 second cars. Here is my old bone stock 96 GT.

And then that same mustang with a Mark VIII engine in it.

Weight and torque. The SN95 body weighed a few hundred pounds less than the S197. The 4.0L SOHC has 45ftlbs less torque than the NPI 4.6L.

It's S197 not "sn197" and their is no such thing as a fast 94/98 stock GT. Young kids might thing they are fast but they just are not

Depends on your definition of fast. There was a time when my Cobra was considered to be a powerhouse. Not anymore, but high 13's is decent for a daily.

That is so true, My 94 sn95 with an 89 block gt40 upper/lower intake longtubes , off road H, flowmaster super 44s, and 3.73 gears eats my neighbors stock 95 for lunch .

Kid was running along side me at 55 and he kept reving it up and laughing , so I nodded and yelled out the window and told him to jump on it . As soon as I heard him hit the gas I dropped to 3rd hammered it and flipped him off as I went by lol . This just goes to show that a few simple upgrades can produce a great improvement over stock.

Yep. Can't remember what for, been 4 years since I had that car. The CE light is on with my Cobra too, but it's that useless air pump that only the cobras have that is causing it.
