Burning oil after deleting cats
I have a 98 cobra and recently put a h pipe on with super 40 flowmasters and I seem to be now burning oil which I have never had issues with in the past. I also have a good friend who has a later model saleen who deleted the cats and is having similar problems. Has anyone ran into this issue before?

I also dont know how it would cause my car to burn oil. Maybe something to do with the back pressure causing oil to be pulled through the valve seals??? I was a quart and a half low last oil change. No leaks of any kind found on engine or ground. I have heard from several peolpe that this is normal but I'm hesitate to believe them. Im located outside of cincinnati.

Lol that's a new one on my Ive never heard of it being normal to burn oil after removing cats. I removed all my cats including the pre cats, installed long tubes , off road H , and flowmaster super44s. Changed my oil at the same time because I did an upper lower intake swap to gt40. My oil level hasn't budged in 2,000 miles.
How long have you had the car? How long ago did you do the exhaust work?
A faulty pcv can cause crank case pressure to build up and push oil out the seals, but I don't see how less back pressure could pull it out.
Lol I am just south of Toledo down I75

Here is a silly question but one that should be asked. Are you certain that you're burning oil? That is to say have you verified that the oil level on the dipstick is going down?
Without cats you will get more smoke/steam out the tailpipes and that is 100% normal.
