Default will larger injectors work in stock motor?

I am trying to plan ahead on this build. I am wanting to go forced induction on this 96 4.6 someday when i can find a deal on a supercharger. I am doing the pi swap when my heads get back from the machine shop and i was wanting to do the fuel system at the same time. I want to put in the larger injectors while i got it apart to the head swap but don't know if it will cause any issues or not.

Nope the computer will just shorten the injector pulse when it sees a rich condition at the o2 sensors. At least that's how the 5.0l computers work . I may be wrong with the 4.6l.

Thats a bummer. I had a plan to put save some cash. My van needs injectors and was gonna put the mustang injectors in it and buy the larger ones for the mustang. BUMMER!

You can put the larger injectors in now. However you will need to have the car tuned because it needs to know what size injectors you have. It will not be able to adjust itself properly without a tune and it definitely won't be able to tune itself at WOT.

I would just wait man.

The reason I was gonna get the injectors now is my van needs injectors so I was going to order the larger ones for the mustang and put the mustangs stock injectors in the van.

+1
injectors are easy to change out and most do it at the dyno so they can drive the car there. Also, factory injectors are cheap used on the forums if youre in a bind.
