Please help, manual trans problem! Ticks while decelerating!
Hello everyone, Im freaking out here. The other day my trans started to make a clicking sound as I am slowing down. It makes the sound whether im in gear, neutral, clutch in, clutch out, or whatever. Im pretty sure its from the trans however the sound is coming from the center console area so it could be something with the driveshaft? The sound starts at about 30-25mph and then it gets louder and I can feel it more in the shifter the slower I go. It literally just started happening yesterday driving home from college, it didnt make the sound on the way to school in the morning and I wasnt on the gas hard or anything either. I looked and looked on google and couldnt find anyone with the same problem. I found people talking about grinding and whining but my problems like a tick, or a clicking sound. I would appreciate any help that anyone can give me, like I said I am freaking out and I have no idea what it could be.
Thanks in advance!

That is one of the first things I checked. The driveshaft moved left and right when I twisted it clockwise and counter clockwise. Im not sure if the joint has any play or not, it was kind of hard to see whats moving because its so tight under the car. It would be nice if it was something non- transmission related. Would the twisting play make a clicking/ ticking noise? Im not to familiar with transmissions and driveshafts, so I dont know if that could be the problem. Thanks for the reply too!
