Default Old gas additives?

What do you guys do with project cars that have old gas in the tank? Do you have any additives you'd recommend?

I was suggested HEET or something like that from my local auto parts store. They actually recommened I put two bottles in it, or it and a container of seafoam.

The tank is full, and I can't really see myself dropping it, just don't have the help honestly.

Gasoline degrades with time. Products like Sta-bil can slow the degradation. No product can put gasoline back together after it's broken down.

I'm sure you can pour some volatile liquid into your tank of old gasoline and you might be able to burn some of it but that's like puking up supper, pouring some maple syrup on the vomit, having it for breakfast and hoping you don't hurl again.

Do yourself a big favor and dump the stale gasoline. Buy one of those plastic inline hand pumps to suck the fuel out of the tank. I used one to empty 29 gallons of old diesel. Didn't take very long.

Yea, what Sonic said. It's better to dump 50 bucks worth of gas than risk fouling up your engine.

I use sea foam, and before my cars go into winter storage I run them damn near empty and throw a few gallons of 96 unleaded which is the only stuff around here that contains NO ethonal in it and slows down the rate that the fuel breaks down, but that's only for 4-5 months

Terrific! Just what does this have to do with the question at hand? The OP wants a magic additive to turn a tankful of bad gasoline into good.

Does anybody even bother reading entire posts anymore or have your brains been addled by reading and writing a maximum of 140 characters?

That's almost as helpful as listing your previously owned vehicles in your signature.
