Default Mach 1 tick with video

Hey guys,

I'm trying to see if I'm just searching out things that aren't problems or not.

I was listening under the hood and heard some ticking.all I've tried so far was pulling coil packs to see if it would make any changes, and got no luck.

Tell me what you think, I'm having a hard time figuring out where it's coming from. Exhaust valve sticking? Fuel injector? Or normal? I just want to make sure I help the next owner is good as I'm trying to sell my baby. Got put on disability for popping a disc. I'll miss her but my back won't.

Sorry if I put this in the wrong area.

Uh, that orange Mach 1 sounds like it is about to blow. It's your lucky day... You should sell it to me quick and very cheap before it really goes out.

J/k gorgeous car... Love the Competition Orange Mach 1's! Sorry I can't be much help with the tick... Could be a lash adjuster. How many miles are on the car?

Sounded like a pretty normal engine noise level to me but the recording could be obscuring the ticking noise.

Try to find out exactly where its coming from by using one or both of these old timer tricks.

Get a length (3 feet or so) of something like heater hose, put one end up to your ear and search around with the other end in the engine bay to try to locate noise source.

A similar method is to use a wooden stick, one end pressed on possible noise sources, listen on the other end.

Thanks I will defiantly check it out, someone on YouTube mentioned it could be the heads from an 03 that hadn't been corrected as well. I'll need to check.

Oh and it has 105K miles poor girl has been ridden a long time. Would new fuel injectors quiet it down? If it is coming from the injectors? I'm sure it's time to replace or get them cleaned.

Went to a shop, they confirmed it was just fuel injector noise I was hearing. Few! same with others in the mach 1 registry.

Now to Goethe sold to a new owner who will take care of her. Hopefully i can find a comfy bmw or truck that will work for me.

Thanks guys for putting me at ease!
