everyone else has it on sale for around 6500 in my area. But they also have high miles. What can be other reasons this isnt selling? should i put mine along with their low milage cars for 6500 also?

Well, if it's any help...We traded in our 2003 GT with 65K mi for $8000
Carmax would have given us $11,000 if it weren't for a few minor flaws with the paint.

I'd say it's a fair price, since the New Edge Mustangs seem to be in a bit of a demand right now.

it does have a few things going for it:
low miles
unmolested car
nice paint
good tires (maybe not the best brand)
leather
a lot of times these cars are ragged out and beat on. Go test drive it and see if everything is sound. Price is on the upper end but not bad.

27mpg? Who the hell gets anywhere close to that with a GT? I know I damn sure don't.

I'm trying to sell my 2000 Mustang GT.. I'm asking 4000 and not expecting it...my car is as nice as yours.tinted windows though...just needs tires,lol..Kelly Blue Book..gave me a price to sell at 4065...(if it need tires or ?)..though mine has 145,000...clean title also...It just surprises me that you can get more or less depending on the area you live. I wish you luck! I had a guy ( craigslist) the other day tell me
he was coming to buy it..after going back n forth with him..he never showed up lol

IF the paint and body are in as good of condition as they state and IF the engine bay is also clean, I would consider it reasonable. Black is PITA to take care of so either the car is really mint or the owner has no clue about what 'Dealership condition' means and will have swirl marks and spider webs galore.

steel pony said it right, modular mustangs especially gt and especially hardtop models are rare these days and in a big demand, i got lucky with my car and the price, but you cant find a good one in Colorado for less than 9,000$. I bought mine 02GT about half a year ago with 88k miles with straight pipes CAI and short shifter for 7,000$.

I wouldn't pay the asking price, that's my 2 cents. Example why, local mint 1991 GT for sale last month on craigslist with 35,000 original miles for $7,000. That I might have possibly bought had I the extra money. Not to long before that I seen a stock 1999 Cobra with 80k miles for $7,500.

Again just my 2 cents and using logic as if your car was my car and I was trying to sale it. I would look around at the market first and see whats selling at what prices. Also the fact a bank won't want to give a $7,000 loan for a car of your year. So whoever buys your car is going to have to pay out of pocket cash, which hurts the market for your car at that price... because most of us here are working stiffs and 7grand don't come to easy.

For me I just not going to commit over $6,000 for a 99-04 GT with near 100k miles. If you search autotrader as example you can find 99-04 GT's under 60k miles for under $7,000. The only way the car will sale is if someone really wants a 99-04 GT just like the one you have to offer. You will probably have to put it back in the garage and sit on that price until the right person comes along.
