not bad for 70 bucks eh?

and how it sits right now. loving it so far! i have a 99 PI 5.4L block with PI SOHC heads thinking of building it and putting it in. thoughts? alot of people are telling me to go DOHC. Also have a friend who has an Eaton M112 he would sell to me ready to go for a pretty good price maybe throw that on as well.

Thanks all nice to be here!

Thank you sir for your vote thats what im thinking. i like your car looks nice! wish this had coil packs and wires i have some nice 8.5MM Ford blue racing wires and MSD coil packs on my truck.

Was going to post a picture but i cannot find it.

Also i have questions on the 5.4 Will DOHC heads fit on that block? i know they are prob the same block but this is my first engine build.

And with DOHC should i throw the M112 on there as well or look for a turbo kit? such as STS?

Grats on your Mustang! It's looking good so far! I see you're having the same issues I am with the clearcoat beginning to chip.. that's Ford paint for ya. I'm saving up for a full re-paint at this point. >_<

P.S. You posted the picture of the coil packs in the wrong thread [How to Remove Spinning Wheel Stud].

well looks like i knew the answer to my voting mine as well do DOHC and do it right eh?

im thinking DOHC with comp cams and the eaton M112 or the big question do i go turbo? or an upgraded blower? still looking for a DD with same if not a little better MPG get 20-22 city 25ish freeway.

thought?

Also here is my build list so far...love this website american muscle

This is the last cosmetic thing i am doing other than painting the front end. **looking for a used cobra front clip and Cobra R hood cannot afford new or even a 2-4" cowl hood would be cool**

http://www.americanmuscle.com/94-04-...ctors-dot.html

And i want to do the exhaust after i put the new motor in right now it is no mufflers just cats and ran out the back sounds fine to me for now dont want to put Longtubes on the 4.6 then have to go through all that hassle to get them out to get the motor out so the long tubes will weight untill the 5.4L **are DOHC exhuast port's diff? if so could i get longtubes that are for the cobra 4.6L DOHC? the heads are the same on 4.6/5.4 the stroke is just a little longer on the 5.4L

i would have these painted or diped in somthing i have this on my 97 F150 and unpainted they have held up for 4 years of MI winters and salt they are very rusted but no leaks yet.

may leave it stright piped for a few just to see how loud it is but more that likey it will get dynomax Ultra flows. love the way they sounded on my 4.6L truck and my buddys 5.4L expy.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wlk-17221/overview/

but all those parts are a long way off.

if anyone has any input on my build parts let me know im all ears!

what part of MI you from?
And FYI the 4V swap is more involved than just slapping on heads to the block consider finding a 5.4 DOHC out of a Navigator if your serious about doing the swap

What kinda of budget are you working with? You can pick up an entire 03-04 cobra drivetrain if you have the coin, that would be the easiest swap plus having a forged internal motor and a supercharger.
