Default P.I. Swap question

So I found a set of P.I. heads from an f150 at a junkyard for 38 bucks a piece. The motor turns and with it turn the cams. The truck was in an accident so I'm assuming it's not there for a blown up engine.

For the price I figure I really can't go wrong.

My question is this: The heads are Windsor. My engine (96 GT) if I'm not mistaken is Romeo. Aside from the obvious with the PI intake and Windsor covers am I going to need the Windsor timing cover? or are the bolts that extend into the timing cover the same?

And since I'll have the heads off it seems like the sensible time to put in a cam if i was ever going to do so. does it make sense to bother?

Your existing timing cover will work. Cams offer a nice bump in power, just keep in mind valve spring requirments for the aftermarket cam.

There are some pretty good write ups on this forum and if you Google it some even have parts lists and costs for doing the Windsor to Romeo PI swap. If you are going to do it, it's worth while to read some of them. By the time your are said and done you will be looking at $500.00 not including new cams
