I just finished replacing my heater core, got it all buttoned back up and started it checking for leaks and everything. Turn the car off and realize that my key issnt going all the way back so i cannot take the key out. It is in automatic and i verified its seeing park cause i cannot put it in drive and start it. Any ideas that dont involve taking the whole dash back off?

Just finished and had the same problem. Drop the steering column down and there's a linkage on top of it for the interlock that has two small torx bit screws. Pull that off, turn key to lock position then reinstall and you are all good!
Now to get rid of that blasted anti-freeze smell in the car...
