They go all the way around. It's just in multiple pieces.

Okay, but how do I put the balancer back on? I heard I need a longer bolt to seat it then use the original bolt to torque it down. I don't have underdrive pulleys by the way.

Auto zone has a kit that has all the bolt sizes in it. Its $20 to rent but you get it back once you take it back

Its not hard to taken it off. I say the hardest part was the power steering pump if you don't want to take the hose off itll be a good idea to get a ratchet wrench. I can't remember what size it was but its almost a must or you'll be there all day with a regular wrench. You have to take that and the ac compressor to get to some of the cover bolts.

okay, did you remove your radiator, or fan shroud to have access to the balancer? and one last question I think, do I need to drain the oil from the engine before taking off the timing cover?

Yes, I took everything out the front. Rad all that. & I'm not sure if you have to drain the oil I did but I don't really think you have to cause it'll be all in the pan. But I would suggest you do because you have to take two of the front bolts out the pan to get the cover off.

&make sure you take that bolt out the center of the balancer. Idk if you knew that or not. But just make sure its out before you try to put the remover on.
