Default 02 GT Noise/Vibration

My 02 GT recently started making a squealing noise when sitting still in neutral and also there is a slight vibration when cruising down the road and not touching the gas while its in gear. Any ideas?

I dunno. Sounds like a drivetrain issue. It's hard to tell with such a vague discription, but maybe the squealing is a throwout bearing? The vibration maybe an out of balance driveshaft? Try to describe more.

It is just a mild squealing sound that seems to be coming from the rear of the motor/front of the trans. The vibration only occurs when car is in gear cruising while giving it no throttle at all. The vibration has been going on for a few weeks now and the squealing sound just started yesterday.

The squealing is probably the throw out bearing! The vibration sounds like drive shaft unbalance. Did you have gears or any work done recently that would require the DS to be removed?
Also consider you have a wheel weight that could have come off a tire

That's another possibility for the vibration. I didn't think of the wheel balancing.

Could be wheel bearings going out too.

Thanks for the input everyone. I drove the car today and I have some more info to add. The sound actually seems to be coming from the front right of the car. I tried doing some things to figure out what it could be. It will still make the sound with the clutch in or out, braking or not braking, sitting still or moving and in or out of gear.

I forgot to add that it is not a constant sound. It just kind of comes and goes. And sometimes if I rev the motor it will go away temporarily.

Good luck finding the issue. I wish I had more input for you.

It is the weirdest sound; I have never heard a sound like it before. I hope I find the issue soon, because I don't like my car having any type of issue like that.
