HELP WITH INTAKE GASKET LEAK
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 03 GT I just pulled my blown engine and put in a 2000 4.6 f150 engine. I've swapped everything over oil pan, timing chain cover, water pump etc. My problem is the heads do not have the holes for the tipples on the intake gaskets to seat in. The ports are exactly alike so I shaved the nipples on the gaskets and set them in and installed the intake. Thinking everything would be ok since the intake screws hold everything in place. The car is on ramps so when I pour in the coolant it leaked out on the drivers side rear of the intake. I never started it. Are there other gaskets that have the nipples for this truck block? I tried the 2000 f150 gaskets but they were the same. Should I just use some gasket sealant around the water ports? help me so I can get this thing on the road for the first time. Bought it with a bad engine.
