if it was a coupe i'd have a 96 'vert for sale. yeah it's a lot of work but it'll bring in a couple bucks and it's something to do at night after the kids are asleep. keeps me off the couch. and frankly i really enjoy the technical stuff. i'm learning more about the workings of the cars. which in turn will increase my ability to maintain my own. it's Win Win.

next time i do one it will either be a coupe or a mark VII. which i will likely keep.

I agree that seems like a whole lot of work for a flip! I said the same thing when I bought my 96 and 7yrs later I still have it
And dont forget the SN rear end is alittle wider than the Fox

yeah a little...if the wheels i have stick out too far i'll get s197 wheels for it and the offset difference should pretty much account for it. i'm not going through the whole rigamarole of getting ranger passenger axles for the existing rear...it's a 7.5" rear anyway.

I might fall in love with it at the end of the day and sell my 96 instead who knows. i doubt it but maybe. i look at it like a way to bring in some (relatively)quick money. i've been working on it for about a month now. at this rate i should be done in another month. doesn't much matter what i sell it for it will bring a profit. i'm only in it $700 bucks right now...wait 716 i had to buy control arm bushings.

I got the gas tank, cat back(draped over the axle for now) fuel lines, and rear end installed tonight. i forgot to take a picture before packing it in. the rear springs are a pain in the *****.

if i didn't have ratchet straps i'd probably still be out there cursing.

Well if anyone is still checking this here's a progress update as of today.

My wife is out of town with the kids visiting her mom so I have more time. Been working with pretty much all of the free time I've had.

Got the motor in and plummed, fluids filled(not bled yet but filled) dash assembled, wired, and installed. Tomorrow I'm going to install the pedal assembly and try to fire it up.

Well it's running. I have to put the transmission mount in still.

I was bleeding the brakes last night and discovered 2 leaks. one is a connection issue the other is a bad line I'll need to replace.

After that She's ready to drive...not finished but mobile.

The front clip is just rattle can sprayed because i wanted to see how the color looked.

I like the color. You should keep it and enjoy it! Be a fun ride to run on the streets and the drag strip. Also I demand many pics and a video after its done!
