blow up my motor

Default blow up my motor

need to talk to a mustang expert about my motor build. I blown my motor last week. piston #1 failed snapped and hit my heads and floated 4 rocker and bent 2 valves.
so this is my plan. rebuild with this if any one want to take a look and give me some advice

boring out the block .30 over with keith black forged 10cc dished pistons to lower the compression to 10.53:1. because I'm running 8# of boost
manley forged 4340 h-beam rods w/arp bolts
ModMax Complete Timing Kit
ford racing heads 2v pi with arp bolts. I need new ones and to save money.

You might also want to look at getting a high flow oil pump.

I think I should be right around 500hp or more was making just under 400 before I blue it up.

Wow 500! After almost 2 yrs (and three engines) I'll be getting my car dynoed this weekend and I'm Hoping for 425 to the wheels. Heres my setup:

Teksid SB bored .30 over, Diamond Racing 11CC pistons, Mod Max H-beam connecting rods, edelbrock Vic jr intake, 6061 plenum, accufab 75MM TB, MMR high flow fuel rails, Vortech V-1 T trim S/C, Anderson power pipe, AEM 325lph pump, KB Bap, 55lb injectors, CX racing intercooler, HP 292 blower cams, Flowtech LTs w/modified H-pipe and a 3.33 pulley. I'll let you know how it goes.

I would bet you'll make way more then 425. I was making 340 to the wheels before I blow up mine and I'm running an A/T so that's about 380 at the crank.

and I just picked up a 96 cobra 4.6 Aluminum Block for 400$

I pick up the block on Friday and drop the heads and block off at the shop that day too and should have every thing from Modmax next week. so once I get it back from the shop ill have it all back together in about two days.
