Installed new motor - fuel coming out of exhausts! No start!
The car is a 00GT with an 02 GT 4.6 2v stock motor (came from a junkyard).
I got everything installed, and now when I went to start it, it would crank but no fire. The spark plugs are brand new. I noticed fuel coming from the passenger side exhaust. Because I forgot to put the gasket in, I dropped the H pipe and I wanted to see where the leak was coming from. Upon further investigation there was a plug near the heater hoses that go into the firewall that wasn't plugged in. I got that plugged in.
Searching for info all I could find is someone mentioned the Fuel rail pressure sensor might have ruptured, and as far as I know, it's on the fuel rail on the drivers side with 2 bolts, a connector, and a vacuum hose. I took the one off my old motor, and same thing, car cranks and fuel drips out of exhaust (now the H pipes are still off).
Should be noted that when I took the motor out, I didn't have the fuel line disconnect tool. I cut the fuel hose that goes to the schreader valve. It appears to be plastic hose wrapped in rubber hose. I connected a brass connector to splice it back in, and it's on there very tight. Could this have something to do with it?
Also, there is a little nub that goes on the back of the throttle body (vacuum hose?) I don't see anything to connect it to, and I also have an extra hard plastic vacuum line that reads ford part XR3E-6758-EB.
