Sounds like a misfire to me. In my experience these cars aren't eager to throw a misfire code even when running on 6 cylinders. check all your plug wire boots for any sign of spark leak

I bought the second coil and it still hitched. I went to Napa and ordered spark plug wires yesterday. I just finished putting them on. I took the car for a spin and NO MORE HITCH! It must have been the wires! It runs like a new car now. Thank you guys so much!

glad you figured it out! Now I have to ask why are you calling it a "Hitch" I have never heard a person discribe a misfire as a "hitch". To me a hitch is something I hook a trailer on to so i can take my overweight girlfriend out on the town
