Do you need a tune with 4.10 gears?
I had 4.10 gears installed on my automatic 04 GT. I was wondering if I need to get a tune so it will shift gears properly or will it be fine as is?
I noticed while breaking coming to a stoplight that the car seemed to "jump" a little bit if that makes sense. After which I started researching and read that you have to get a tune to make the car run right with the new gears.

Seems like you answered your own question there. With automatic yes you need a tune.

You will def need a tune. I would not recommend driving that car without one. You can get a canned tune, a custom tune, or a dyno tune. The cheapest route for a Mustang with basic mods is probably a canned tune. You can find used tuners for like $150 shipped if you search Ebay and Craigslist. Stick with Diablosport or SCT.
